The detail and scope of some of these pieces is stunning and they are all beautiful. Each era section has a description of what was going on in the news and culture of the time, original vintage photos, information on fashion, beauty,decor, and food, and some photos of real brides who had weddings inspired by that era. I am a Lutheran Church librarian and bought this book for our library so that late elementary and middle school kids could learn about the historical period in which Christ lived. It felt like I was getting inside their head, perhaps understanding them a little better, and meanwhile understanding music as well.
