The authors repeatedly tie their practical recommendations to professional standards, highlighting how these steps help us to meet existing professional standards. Gazzaniga's first hand view of the human brain imbues his written work with a 'no nonsense' view of the brain - and indeed of humanity. This shouldnt be a big deal to every one else. An ethically challenged, "hero", who cannot seem to tell the truth no matter how much it seems the obvious, best course. This is an absolutely beautiful book. It is certainly worth every bit of the cost.. The first is called "Speculation" in which he psychologizes (badly and amateurishly) about Lee, quoting from a text on the psychology of gifted children and from contemporary letters regarding the erotic view of feet in the 19th century.
