Helena Lumme brings together a mix of inspiring women in tbe film industry. Oh, and the book concludes with an index of resources, from schools to non-profits to guilds and unions that exist to help women in film.. Dual point of view. Lots of repetition, read like it as written in a hurry, or not edited. There are chapters on weddings from the Edwardian era to the 1970s.
I will stop there and let you read the ending of this book yourself. I bought this and The Ethical Brain. I'd be willing to bet some of you will do the same.)
Overall, "Miracle Factory" is a wonderfully refreshing book which harkens back to the days when great rock critics (Bangs, Marcus, etc.) were almost as famous as the stars they wrote about.
